    BEV uses a battery to power the electric motor and it is driven fully by electric motor with battery energy storage system.

    Fuel Cell Electric Vehicles (FCEVs):

    FCEVs produce electricity by using fuel cell that is powered by hydrogen to drive an electric motor. FCEVs could be designed with Plug-in capabilities to charge the battery from braking energy and smooth out the power delivered from the fuel cell by keeping idle/off the fuel cell during low power requirements.
  • Hybrid vehicle

    Hybrid Electric Vehicles (HEVs):

    HEV has both type of motors, electric motor and ICE. There is no charger connector and charge through the ICE, motion of wheels or combination of both.

    Plug-in Hybrid Electric Vehicles (PHEVs):

    PHEVs uses electric energy to power the electric motor and Plug-in into the grid to charge the battery and also use petrol/diesel based fuel to power internal combustion engine. The battery's energy is recharged by the ICE, wheel motion, or by plugging into a charge point.
